Case – Haelvoet at Clinique Saint Luc Bouge
One uniform bed concept for safety, efficiency and comfort
The challenge
Clinique Saint-Luc Bouge operates in an environment with limited space, narrow lifts and intensive internal transport.
The existing hospital beds were outdated and no longer met current requirements in terms of ergonomics, safety and future readiness.
The hospital was looking for one uniform solution, supported by purchasing, care, logistics and biomedical services, with particular attention to manoeuvrability and fall prevention.
The approach
Following a public tender procedure, an extensive test phase was carried out in daily clinical practice.
All involved departments, including specialised units such as geriatrics and psychiatry, evaluated the bed to ensure the solution could be used in all care scenarios.
Why Haelvoet?
Haelvoet was selected thanks to its strong price quality ratio, its ability to adapt to spatial constraints, and the robust, durable design of its beds.
The integrated connectivity, with a clear focus on safety and fall prevention, was another decisive factor.
According to Christophe Plompteux, Head of Purchasing, it was above all the combination of flexibility, reliability and technology that made the difference.
The solution in practice
The
373 Olympia Hospital beds support care and logistics teams on a daily basis.
The foot pedal improves ergonomics, the fifth castor ensures smooth manoeuvring, and the spacious lying surface enhances patient comfort.
All functions are intuitive and easy to operate.
Result
Delivery and installation were carried out efficiently and on schedule, which was essential for a hospital with limited storage space.
Today, Clinique Saint-Luc Bouge benefits from a uniform bed concept that enhances safety, simplifies daily workflows and is ready for the future.
